Communicating your value …
I have 15 years of experience in website management, content composition, traditional writing, and editing with a wide variety of companies and clients. Please open links to documents to review my work.
The Canada Calls website (audit below) supported and served as the registration portal for a large recruiting effort for an industrial construction project. Once the draft site was prepared, I reviewed every page for content, accuracy, and consistency and checked every link on every page.
I wrote or edited all of the narrative content for the Dave Nash and Associates International website which was used as a presentation to a government agency. The website is not active or updated.
The Dave Nash and Associates International Website_Review_amd_Recommendations_from_PP_SW_Edits shows the detailed back and forth among team members as web content was being updated and created.
Web Content Composition
During the time I served as the webmaster at John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham, Alabama, I had the pleasure of writing a good bit of the content. “About the School” was the home page, and “Boys Varsity Basketball March 2004” is the article about John Carroll’s winning the state championship.
Writing and Editing
• College Admissions Made Possible (CAMP) Newsletter and Informational Flyer
I wrote and edited the narrative for both the CAMP newsletter and informational flyer. We used these for spreading the word about this nonprofit’s work to potential candidates for our services (high school students and their families). We also sent them to support requests for funding.
• “Creating Value …. Every Job and Every Time”
A communications company vice president wrote this success story for the company’s intranet. The first document is the original draft with my editing marks. The second document is the final article published on the intranet.
When I worked for OnTRACK, a recruiting project for a construction crafts training program, I answered the phone and conducted preliminary interviews with the candidates. When an additional person was hired to help handle the increasing number of calls, I created “OnTRACKFAQs 05 26 2007” to help train the new staff member.
